He left Ontario with his wife Minerva (Pillar) & kids around 1866 and settled in Wisconsin. Then in 1900 he picked up and moved to Alberta, Canada to take advantage of land being offered at the time.
Larry Rupert Jr indicates that the following are children of William and Minerva:
William, Edgar, Ella & Albert (by then married
to Albertine (Moll)) and the entire Moll clan emigrated to homestead sites around Leduc, Alberta. |
