| Her mother was born in New York, Father Born in Ireland Came to US from Canada in 1888 In 1900, she lived on 2 Washington Place in Watertown, NY 1900 census shows her as 69 years old which means she would have been born in 1851. In 1940 she lived on Colvin Street, Syracuse, NY with Elizabeth Herb Perhaps had Lilly who died of consumption or TB at 17 or 18 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Elizabeth's father or step-father was killed it the Dakota Black Hills by Indians. He was from Ireland Mrs. Cecilia Sluman of 134 West Colvin Street was buried Monday morning in St. Agnes Cemetery. Services were held at her late home at 8:15 o'clock and at 8:50 o'clock in St. Anthony of Padua Church, where a solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated by the Rev. Charles F. McEvoy. The Rev. Martin J. Tracy was deacon and the Rev. Lawrence J Sheehan subdeacon. Bearers were William Lasher, William Quinn, John McQuade, Dr Stephen Groman, Herbert and John Rupert. Father Edmond Berrigan read the committal service at the grave. Mrs. Sluman died Thursday at her home. Doreen says "Cecilia Morrison was a very proper and dignified woman who sat up straight and was very Victorian in dress, attitude, and style." | ||||||||||||
