In the 1871 census, Patrick and Ann Welch are living alone on the same lot. Their son Thomas and Mary Ann had a family of six children then, they resided on their quarter of the lot.

Bridget, the youngest child of Patrick and Ann, married Silas Rupert, a farmer of Dutch Decent, and Methodist. A notation in the 1871 census states that they were maried in November 1870. They lived on Lot 12 Con 5, and Osnabruck Twp, and were still there in 1891 census. They had one son, Stanley, aged 15. He had only one daughter who died at about twenty years of age. According to the old-times, Bridget was buried at St. Andrew's but there is no entry in the register, and no gravestone in the cemetery.
