| Witnessed Barney Rupert and Adeline Benders wedding in Osnabruck. Roxborough Township, Stormont County, Ontario February 28, 1917 Died: Jacob Rupert One of the old residents of Roxborough, Jacob Rupert, passed away on Feb. 28, [1917]. His brother Barney was staying with him, and in the morning spoke to him and almost immediately sat up in bed and fell over. His son-in-law was called, but Jacob died almost immediately. He was 73 years old and was well and favoably [sic] known in the community. His remains were interred on the following Saturday in the cemetery at the Windfall. He leaves to mourn his untimely end his wife, and one daughter, Mrs. Rory Baker, besides other relatives, to whom the sympathy of a wide circle goes out.
