Syracuse Post Standard Friday 2APR1948 page: 22 col: 2 Mrs. Claribel Lay Mele, resident of Syracuse 69 years, died yesterday at her home, 104 Wayland rd. She was a native of Cazenovia. Mrs. Mele was a member of Trinity Episcopal church. Surviving are her husband, Frank Mele; a son, F. William Mele of Laurelton, N.J.; a daughter, Mrs. Samuel Herrick; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Miller & Waidele funeral rooms byu the Rev. C.A. Rosekrans, with burial in Myrtle Hill cemetery. In 1948 at death, she lived at 104 Wayland Rd. 1900 Census was living with Father and Mother at 120 Briggs St. Working as Salesman for Bakery. His new wife Minnie is not listed in the census and she is not listed with her parents (in census). Their first child was born in Dec 1900, so it is assumed that she lived in the Thomas Dudley Sr. household. Born in England 70 years ago, he was employed a number of years by the Crouse-Hinds company, but for the past 10 years had operated his own business on the North side. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Minnie Born Dudley; four sons, Willard H., Edward, Jesse, and Donald Dudley; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Lawrence and Mrs. Robert Icholtz; two brothers, George and William Dudley, and a grandchild. The body was removed to the rooms of A.C. Schumacher. Syracuse Post Standard Saturday 9MAY1942 Last rites for Reuben Dudley of North Syracuse, former Syracusan, who died of a heart attack while visiting at Constantia Thursday afternoon, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Lawrence, 336 Medford rd., Lyncourt, by Rev.
